Set up in October 1986 within the Italian Federation of the Chemical Industry (Federchimica), Assobiotec is the Italian Association for the Development of Biotechnology, representing more than 100 companies and science & technology parks operating in Italy and involved in various biotech-related fields: pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, agro-food, fine chemicals, environment, processing industry and equipment. They include emerging biotech companies and small to medium enterprises, as well as the biotech divisions of large organisations.
Assobiotec provides entrepreneurial support to Italian and EU biotech developments and is the landmark for Italian companies involved in production and marketing of products derived from biotech applications.
BIO-Europe Spring 2011 returns to Milan, Italy
EBD Group announced that the annual BIO-Europe Spring 2011 partnering conference will be returning to Milan, Italy, the site of the two successful events hold in 2007 and 2009. BIO-Europe Spring 2011 will open its doors at the Milano Convention Center (MIC), March 14-16, 2011.
BIO-Europe Spring has become the second largest dedicated partnering event in the biotechnology industry. Biotechnology companies from around the world participate in BIO-Europe Spring to identify and meet with companies across the life science value-chain, from large biotech and pharma companies to financiers and innovative start-ups.
